Fostering saves lives!

Fostering dogs is, simply put --- saving lives. When you become a doggie foster parent, you volunteer to keep a homeless dog in your home temporarily until they go to a forever home. Pawsitive Hearts is entirely run on foster homes, and we couldn't save lives of dogs in need without our amazing fosters! We cover all of the veterinary costs - you provide the love and TLC!

What our fosters say about us:

"Pawsitive Hearts is a truly amazing organization. They care so much about their dogs, and would genuinely do everything in their power to ensure that they get to live the lives they deserve! I have fostered with them for about a month, and everyone involved is so helpful and kind. Not to mention, I get to hang out with the best little dog I've ever known!"

in a 2019 Study, Ohio humane societies euthanized over 60 percent of the dogs entering their facilities. almost 6 percent more than the average national figure. Less than 20 percent sterilize prior to adoption, and less than 5 percent of county animal control agencies implant adopted dogs with microchips. We wanted to be a part of the change for the 60+ percent, and be a voice for animals in need all over. We wanted to help decrease these statistics by providing additional support to local humane societies and other dogs in need through our rescue, fostering, and adoption program.
