BOARD OF DIRECTORS
President & Founder
Erica is President & Founder of Pawsitive Hearts Dog Rescue! She always knew even when she was young she wanted to help animals, When she isn’t working at her full time job as an Account Executive for a major cell phone carrier -- you can find her somewhere with the dogs. She has two adopted fur babies her cats, Zero and Payday. (Named after candy bars 😜) and adopted PHDR Alumni Jax. She loves fostering and getting updates from dogs that have been adopted, and is one of the main reasons she continues to foster. Busy is an understatement for this boss lady, as she wears many hats from coordinating with fosters, adopters, shelters, transport, finance and website management - a little bit of everything!

Jax is our go-to guy for never ending smiles and laughs. He is a super star breed ambassador (Olde English Bulldog) and you will see him at some of our events! Guaranteed to bring a smile to your face with a heart of gold. He loves being a foster brother, and enjoys spending his free time eating from his bowl, licking at the rain, and watching out the window. We love you Jax!
Celena has been Married 11 years, She has what she calls a "mini zoo" that includes 3 mini pigs, 2 goats, 4 turkeys, 18 chickens,1 donkey, 4 horses,12 fish, 9 cats and 7 dogs. To say she is an animal lover is an understatement. She has worked at All about the animals as a vet tech for 3 years. Her passion in life is fishing and most anything outdoor or four legged! Celena follows up with all of our adopters quarterly, and annually to ensure our dogs are on the right track, getting required annual vaccines and keeping microchip information up to date.
Digital Marketing Coordinator
Monica has always had a passion for helping animals in need around Muskingum County. She has been rescuing stray animals since she was about 8 years old. Fast forward 20 years, she’s now one of our key volunteers at Pawsitive Hearts.
When she’s not helping us rescue dogs, Monica works for a digital marketing company. She’s married to Aaron and has a fur-son named Beau. She can’t foster because Beau is a spoiled senior dog who needs to be an only dog, but she helps us in many other ways. She also transports dogs, helps with adoptions and adoption applications, and runs our social media pages.
Foster Coordinator - Columbus
Hello!! My name is Eryn and I am a very busy single mom and Gigi to three great kids. I have two fabulous felines, Sebastian Zeus and Stella Luna Fluffy Pants that make every day more wonderful. I have always had animals for as long as I can remember and don’t think I could ever be without some sort of fur baby
I began working with Pawsitive Hearts not too long ago as a transporter and feel honored to be working with these awesome folks more hands on for an amazing cause. I’m super excited to be part of this awesome organization to help dogs, be able to give back and help them find their forever homes!
Zanesville Foster Coordinator
My name is Lisa Walters, Zanesville Foster Coordinator. I’ve been an animal lover my entire life, having had dogs, cats, fish, and turtles. I joined the PH family as a Foster in December and wish I would’ve joined sooner. With my husband as the Event Coordinator, we’ve been very involved and wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m also a Mom to a little girl Layla and a Bonus Mom to my son Gage. I work at Ohio Stoneware and Bishop Fenwick Preschool. Everything we do revolves around our family with the two kids, as well as our two dogs, Nora & Odin, and our cat, Stone. I can’t wait to help all of the Fosters in the Zanesville area!
My name is Benji and I use they/them pronouns. I've had a love for all sorts of animals from a young age and am so happy to have found my way to Pawsitive Hearts as an Adoption Coordinator for the Columbus area. For the past few years I've done foster work (primarily puppies) through OMDR and have had the great pleasure of working with dogs everyday through my job at BARK. I have a golden retriever of my own named Dandy who never fails to make me smile. I'm so excited to help match pups up with their forever families
Christina is a devoted animal-lover, mother, and wife. She works from home as a Health Guide and this allows her to foster doggies for Pawsitive Hearts!
She's been volunteering with us for 1 year & so far she has only foster-failed once ;) ...when a sweetheart named Gidget stopped by for a weekend that turned into fur-ever. She also has a previously adopted rescue dog named Wendell (He's in the photo!!) and rescue cat named Mr. Owl. Recently she started creating content for our blog! You should check it out. :D

My name is Haylie and I like being active and keeping busy! I have grown up around animals my whole life and that’s why I think I’ve always been so passionate about caring for them. I am excited to be a part of the Pawsitive Hearts crew because I get the chance to help save so many dogs and give them the second chance they deserve
